A Day At The Beach
One of our existing clients runs another business – a taxi service in York, ME. The web site needed refurbishing as did the form used for reservations – they were getting annoying prank emails. The solution? A quick makeover and a new form with a revised process that helped eliminate the junk mail.

Busy, Busy, Busy!
The remainder of 2011 was fairly quiet business-wise. There were a number of small projects and updates, plus the writing and recording of new radio spots for the MAIA, which begin airing in March.
2012 on the other hand has started off with a bang. At the moment, we’re working on 4 projects – one for a dance studio, another for a publisher looking to promote a B2B book online, another for global recycling firm and yet another for a law firm in Rhodes Island. We’re also working on updates/conversions of a couple of existing sites and there are 2 potential projects just now coming to light.
Whew!
Consistency Helps Gaucher Associates Remain A Leader
Gaucher Associates is a human resources compliance firm specializing in the development of affirmative action plans. They are a national leader in the field, but their web site didn’t reflect that. That’s why Groppi Advertising Design (Gaucher’s ad agency) called us in – to create a site with a more contemporary look and feel that would also reflect Gaucher’s premier standing in the industry. Cogent developed a “sliding page” layout for the site and a look that is consistent with the design of their existing marketing materials. Gaucher Associates was more than happy and the results speak for themselves.

Insuring A Strong Presence For E&C
We recently completed development of a new web site for Estabrook & Chamberlain, an insurance agency with multiple offices on the South Shore. Groppi Advertising Design, the agency of record for E&C, asked us to take charge of the project – creating a new look and feel for the site, writing content for a number of pages and developing a companion blog to support their quarterly newsletter. The results will help Estabrook & Chamberlain maintain a strong, more professional presence on the web.

Jimmy Rizzo Is On The Air!
The Massachusetts Association of Independent Agents (MAIA) is currently running a radio campaign featuring Jimmy Rizzo, a character we created for the MAIA some 6 years ago. In addition to writing the copy for the ads, we also did the voice for Jimmy. Since development of the character, Jimmy has become a prominent and instantly recognizable voice for insurance buyers across the state.
The bulk of the current spots were carried over from last year, with an additional spot written and produced in January of 2011.

2 New Projects In Progress
We’ve begun work on 2 of the 6 projects we received inquiries for at the beginning of 2011. Both are web sites – one is for an insurance agency south of Boston. The other is for a national consulting firm specializing in affirmative action plan compliance. Both projects should be done by the end of April. Of course, we’ll post samples and links here once they are completed.
New Year = New Business
We’re only a few weeks into the new year and already things are looking good. So far, we’ve received inquiries regarding 6 new projects. This could be a sign that the economy is turning the corner and that 2011 will see increased prosperity.
Lending A Hand At Naples Estates
We had the opportunity to re-design a blog for the Naples Estates Homeowners Association (NEHA) in Naples, FL. We designed a theme that was in keeping with the tastes of the residents. After shooting a number of photos, we stitched them together to create a panoramic image of the entrance to the property. We combined this with colors/textures that complimented the sunny climate. Needless to say, the folks at Naples Estates were delighted with the results.

Immediate Benefits
We recently completed a web site and logo re-design for Immediate Connections, a national provider of highly-skilled audio/video professionals. Intended to establish a more modern, recognizable image, the new logo includes a stronger typeface and a new badge with the company initials. In combination with a new, monochromatic website design, IC’s new image is sure to turn heads.
